About Air Fryer Cooking Times
Air Fryer Cooking Times exists to answer one question quickly and accurately: “My recipe is written for the oven - what should I set my air fryer to?” We pair a food-aware conversion calculator with a tested cooking-times chart so you don't have to guess.
How our numbers are produced
Our conversions start from the widely used rule of reducing oven temperature by about 25°F (15°C) and cutting time by roughly 20%, then adjust for your oven type and the food category. Cooking times assume a standard 4-6 qt basket air fryer with food in a single layer. Air fryers vary by wattage and size, so we always recommend checking a few minutes early and using an instant-read thermometer for meat, poultry and fish.
Food safety
Where relevant we list safe minimum internal temperatures based on USDA guidance. Cooking times are a guide; internal temperature is what determines whether food is safely cooked.
