Oven to Air Fryer Conversion Chart
To convert an oven recipe to an air fryer, drop the temperature by about 25°F (15°C) and cut the time by roughly 20%. Use the chart below for the most common temperatures, or the calculator for an exact figure.
Fahrenheit (°F)
Conversion by oven type
Not every oven converts the same way. Pick yours for the exact adjustment:
Conventional oven
Standard rule: drop the temperature by 25°F and cut the time by about 20%.
Convection oven
A convection oven already moves air, so reduce by only ~10°F and ~10% time.
Fan oven
Fan (fan-forced) ovens are the UK/AU equivalent of convection - small reduction.
Toaster oven
Most toaster ovens lack a strong fan, so use the standard reduction.
Gas oven
Gas ovens are moist and uneven, so the standard reduction works well.
