Frozen Brand-Name Foods in the Air Fryer
The box tells you how to bake it in a conventional oven and stops there - and you own an air fryer. Working out the air fryer equivalent is the one thing this site is built for: drop the oven temperature by about 25°F, cut the time by roughly a fifth, and let the fan do the rest. Here are the specific times, by brand, with the reason behind each one.
| Food | Temp | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Red Baron French Bread Pizza | 350°F (175°C) | 8 min |
| Alexia Sweet Potato Fries | 400°F (200°C) | 14 min |
| Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwich | 350°F (175°C) | 8 min |
| Tyson Chicken Nuggets | 375°F (190°C) | 10 min |
| Hot Pockets | 360°F (180°C) | 13 min |
| Pillsbury Biscuits | 330°F (165°C) | 8 min |
| Stouffer's Lasagna | 350°F (175°C) | 30 min |

FAQ
Why do frozen food boxes only give oven directions?
Because the box is printed for the appliance nearly every kitchen has had for decades. Air fryers are newer and vary far more in size and power, so manufacturers leave them off rather than print a number that misses on half of them. The conversion is simple, though: drop the oven temperature by about 25°F and cut the time by roughly a fifth.
Do you cook brand-name frozen foods straight from frozen in an air fryer?
Almost always, yes - the same as the box says for the oven. Thawing first tends to make breaded and bread-based foods soggy, because the ice melts into the crumb before it reaches the basket. From frozen, that water leaves as steam while the surface crisps.
